We are beyond excited to be heading to Kenya to host this epic retreat with our co-founder Katarina Rayburn at the stunning Watamu Treehouse!

The yoga

Katarina Rayburn co-founder of Kindred Yoga 

Kat will lead you through 2 x 90 minute yoga classes a day, sun rise Mandala Vinyasa in the morning and sunset Yin Yoga in the evening. Mandala vinyasa is a dynamic practice, allowing you to move around your mat with fluidity. Each day the practice will be focusing on a specific element, chakra and part of the body. By the end of the week we will have journeyed through all 4 elements leaving in a state of complete balance. 

Yin yoga is a deep stretching, meditative and seated practice where poses are held for up to 5 minutes allowing your body to really open and let go. The Yin yoga will complement the subtle and physical body that we will be working on that day. 

The yoga is open to all levels. 

There will also be an optional daily guided morning meditation. 

The food 

Pre morning yoga snack 

Each morning there will be fresh coffee, pots of herbal teas, fresh/dried fruit and nuts to snack on for an energy boost before your morning yoga practice. 

Wholesome breakfast 

Homemade granola, nut butters, compotes, jams, plant based milk, bircher muesli, fresh fruit platters, pancakes, fresh bread, savoury breakfast specials (cooked mushrooms, tomatoes, homemade baked beans)

Lunch - a selection of nourishing and seasonal salads, dips, breads. 

*should you wish to go exploring a little further afield, lunch can be saved upon your return

Dinner - family-style feast 

Post evening yin yoga, you will have time to freshen up before sitting down to a family-style gourmet dinner. We use local fresh ingredients and love to create a variety of delicious dishes with a twist, leaving you feeling satisfied and energised!

*A note on covid

Should we face an unfortunate circumstance whereby we cannot go ahead with the retreat due to Covid-19, refunds for any payments made will be given and deposits will be transferable towards any future kindred retreats.

Please note, flights and transfers are not included in the retreat price

To get to Watamu Treehouse you  fly into Malindi or Mombasa

-          Malindi is served by Fly540, Fly-SAX, Air Kenya and JamboJet

-          Mombasa has the same airlines and also Kenya Airways that has many flights a day and more options

We can organise transfers from Mombasa airport or Malindi airport and back. 

Current return flights from London to Mombasa are approx £350.
