Our Retreat
Join us for four nights of movement, rest, connection and Moroccan sunshine at Manira Palm, a soulful oasis nestled amongst palm trees with views towards the Atlas Mountains. Just outside the vibrant energy of Marrakech, Manira Palm offers the perfect balance of calm, culture and community.
Over five days, we’ll slow down and reconnect through daily yoga practices, nourishing meals, sunshine-filled afternoons and beautifully unhurried living. Expect dynamic morning flows to energise and awaken, alongside softer evening practices designed to help you unwind beneath the Moroccan sky.
There will be plenty of space to simply be, whether that’s lounging by the pool, reading in the gardens, sharing long dinners together, exploring the medina, or watching the sunset from the rooftop terrace.
Manira Palm is known for its warm hospitality, seasonal Moroccan cuisine and deeply grounding atmosphere. With intimate accommodation, lush gardens and open-air practice spaces, it feels less like a hotel and more like a home away from home.
This retreat is an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life and return feeling rested, inspired and reconnected , to yourself and to others.
Your Teacher & Host
Zinah Mangera-Lakew is a South-East London-born performance artist and movement teacher based in Lewisham. She graduated from her formal dance training with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Performance. During her training, Zinah began a regular yoga practice, which quickly became a central part of both her movement practice and daily life.
Zinah is a 500-hour RYT, having completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with MoreYoga before continuing her studies with Kindred School of Yoga, where she trained in both Rocket Yoga and Mandala Vinyasa, as well as completing Kindred’s Advanced 300-hour Vinyasa Teacher Training. She strongly believes that practices such as yoga should be inclusive, welcoming and accessible to all.
Passionate about teaching in all its forms — whether yoga, natural movement or contemporary dance — Zinah draws from an amalgamation of styles and disciplines to create classes that feel dynamic, embodied and empowering. Her teaching encourages students to connect more deeply with their bodies, enhance their natural facility and capacity for movement, and counter the effects of modern sedentary living.
Zinah’s classes incorporate a strong emphasis on breathwork, fluid movement and natural, animalistic patterns of motion, creating practices that are both grounding and energising.
