Dharma Yoga, Another Dimension
10-hour Immersion with Mark Kan
Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th January 2025
1pm - 6pm
at Kindred Studio
This transformative weekend is designed for intermediate and advanced yoga practitioners who are ready to go deeper - not only teachers, but anyone seeking to immerse themselves in a complete practice, refined by Mark Kan over many years as both a teacher and a student.
Saturday 17th January - Repackaging Surya Namaskar through Vinyasa
You will be introduced to Mark’s signature Sun Salute sequence, a dynamic yet meditative flow he teaches daily, which he considers a complete practice in itself.
You will practise this fixed sequence, but also explore how to use it as a foundation for creating your own intelligent vinyasa progressions - adding postures, experimenting with transitions, and discovering how this practice can bring strength, balance, and flexibility while uniting body, breath, and mind.
Sunday 18th January - Strength & Expansion
Dive into continually evolving Strengthening sequence, beginning with classical Surya Namaskar with mantra and moving into my of Chandra Namaskar sequence. Then, build into a three-part vinyasa that progressively develops strength, balance, and back bending, before moving into hip-opening and core-strengthening poses.
The two 5-hour sessions will also include workshop-style explorations of inversions, backbends, and hip-openers, giving you the tools to deepen your personal practice safely and intelligently.
Participants will receive a printed version of the Strength and Expansion Sequence which is ideal for continuing your self-practice at home. If you are a teacher, you are welcome to share and teach from this sequence with your students.

Mark Kan
For 25 years, yoga has been my path to presence, healing, and self-discovery. What began as movement grew into a way of understanding who I am — and it’s this journey I share through my teaching. Whether you join me live, online, or through recordings, you’re invited into something more than just a physical practice.
Yoga opens the door to more than the body; it leads us into the inner landscape -the thoughts, the breath, the moments of stillness - that slowly reveal who we are, step by step, breath by breath.
Over the years, yoga has become a lens through which I see life more clearly. It has deepened my awareness, expanded my sense of what’s possible, and guided me to ask the questions that matter most: Who am I? Why am I here? What do I truly want? Through practice, I’ve come to see that yoga doesn’t just offer answers — it opens a doorway to living with clarity, presence, and meaning.
Dharma Yoga shaped my early path as a teacher almost 20 years ago, and its wisdom still runs through everything I teach. Over time, my practice has evolved into a style that reflects my own journey. While you may not find exact parallels to Dharma Yoga in my classes, the essence remains: using body, breath, and mind as gateways to deeper levels of consciousness.
My classes are designed to weave strength and flexibility into fluid, intentional movement — inviting you to discover not only what the body can do, but also the spaciousness and stillness that yoga reveals within.
