Mandala Methodology

25-hour Training with Katarina Rayburn

20th - 22nd February 2026

Friday 9-6pm, Saturday & Sunday 1-8pm

at Kindred Studio, Deptford

Explore the methodology behind Mandala Vinyasa, a creative form of Vinyasa inspired by elemental theory, created by Dulce Mandala.

This training is for both Mandala lovers looking to deepen their practice and knowledge, and yoga teachers who want to learn to sequence and teach the Mandala Method.

The training

What is the Mandala Method?

The Mandala Method consists of four sequences. Each represents an Element and it’s specific muscular and energetic activation:

  • Air

  • Fire

  • Water

  • Earth

The Mandala practice encompasses movement in all directions and perspectives. Moving 360° around the mat, it flows through asanas, inversions & introspection, inviting you to feel the Elements within and find a deeper inner state by a constant synchronisation of movement and breath.

What to expect

This 3 day training will invite you to experience the Mandala practice, learn the methodology, and understand the inspiration and theory behind it.

You will be invited to consider how to teach and sequence Mandala vinyasa in a creative and thoughtful way that is inspiring for your students, while remaining authentic to the origins of the practice and Mandala lineage.

Katarina Rayburn

I’ve been teaching yoga full-time for over 10 years, though it wasn’t a path I initially planned. As a physics graduate and trained actress, I found my way to yoga after attending a class in London, which I later realised was Rocket® Yoga, and I was instantly hooked. That experience led me to India, where I immersed myself in different styles and teachings, and yoga soon became an essential part of my life.

I completed my 500hrs of Yoga Teacher Training with The Yoga People in Ashtanga, Rocket®, Mandala Vinyasa & Yin.

My journey with Mandala Vinyasa began in 2016 with the very first Mandala Vinyasa training in Goa (100hrs), followed by a further 150hrs of training directly with Dulce Mandala. From 2020 to 2024, I was honoured to teach a module on Dulce’s Mandala Vinyasa Teacher Training, and I’m now proud to be the first teacher after Dulce to lead a Mandala Vinyasa TT, continuing this creative, elemental lineage in my own authentic way.

I’ve also studied advanced adjusting and anatomy with Ambra Vallo, Rocket® with David Kyle, Pregnancy Yoga & Nidra with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Yin and AcuYin with Jo Phee, and Ashtanga Second Series with David Swenson.

In my classes, you can expect a creative, strong, and empowering practice that invites both challenge and self-expression. Rooted in philosophy and elemental theory, my teaching blends movement, breath, and mindfulness into a journey of connection and transformation.

I’m a 500hr Yoga Alliance approved, Experienced - Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500).
