Frequently Asked Questions
-
What does a typical day on retreat look like?
Each retreat is a little different, but you can expect a beautiful balance of yoga, rest, connection, and time for yourself. There will be space to enjoy the surroundings, take part in optional activities, or simply relax and recharge.
-
How many yoga practices will there be each day?
There will usually be two yoga practices each day: a more dynamic practice in the morning to energise and awaken the body, followed by a slower, restorative Yin practice in the evening to help you unwind and settle into the night.
-
Can I share a room with a friend or request a private room?
Absolutely. We offer both shared and private rooms, depending on the retreat and accommodation available. If you’re travelling with a friend and would like to share, just let us know when you book.
-
I haven't been practising yoga for very long. Is this retreat for me?
Absolutely. All of our retreat hosts are highly qualified and experienced in holding space for all levels and abilities. Whether you’re completely new to yoga or have been practising for years, you’ll be warmly welcomed on a Kindred retreat.
-
Can I come on my own?
Of course. Many of our guests come on their own, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some quality you time, reconnect with yourself, and meet new people. There’s no pressure to socialise. You can make the retreat as social or as restorative as you like.
-
Are yoga mats provided, or should I bring my own?
This depends on the venue. Please check the specific retreat details for information on what equipment is provided and what you’ll need to bring with you.
-
I have a specific dietary requirement. Can this be catered for?
Yes. We are happy to accommodate dietary requirements and preferences. Please let us know your requirements when booking so we can make sure the retreat is as enjoyable and nourishing as possible for you.
-
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. We offer monthly payment plans at no extra cost, making it easier to spread the cost of your retreat. Please get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
-
What happens if I book my place but can no longer attend? Can I get a refund?
Our deposits are non-refundable. However, if you’re no longer able to attend and we are able to fill your place, we may be able to offer a refund at our discretion. Please get in touch with us as soon as possible if your circumstances change.
-
Is the retreat suitable if I have an injury or physical limitation?
We want everyone to feel safe and supported on a Kindred retreat. If you have an injury or physical limitation, please contact us before booking. We’ll discuss your individual needs and assess whether the retreat is suitable for you on a case-by-case basis.
-
Are meals included?
Yes. All meals are included on Kindred retreats. We believe nourishing, delicious food is an important part of the retreat experience.
-
Is there free time during the retreat?
Yes. There will be plenty of time between the morning and evening yoga practices to relax, explore, read, nap, or simply do nothing. You can also take part in any optional activities offered during the retreat, or use the time to enjoy some uninterrupted you time.
