Get in touch
  • Why is the course a 12 day immersion in Greece combined with 5 monthly weekends in London?

This is to fully immerse yourself in your practice and and in your learning how to teach yoga in a stunning location away from daily life. Back in London, you will dive into yoga philosophy, ethics, anatomy, business of yoga, pranayama, pregnancy yoga and more!

  • How do I get to Paros for the immersion?

There are MANY ways to get to Paros, but we recommend three options:

    1. Fly to Athens and get a connecting flight (30mins) to Paros.

    2. Fly to Athens and get a ferry (2.5-4hrs depending on which ferry you pick) to Paros. Also take into account 1hr to get from airport to port.

    3. Fly to Mykonos and get a ferry (50mins-1.5hrs) to Paros. Takes approx 15mins to get from airport to port.

  • Is the training accredited?

Kindred 200hr Vinyasa YTT is fully accredited by Yoga Alliance US. Yoga Alliance US is the highest standard of teacher training accreditation and the hardest to gain approval for. You will be certified to teach Vinyasa yoga in the UK and Internationally.

  • On graduation, what kind of teacher will I be?

You will be recognised as a Kindred 200hr Yoga Alliance Certified Vinyasa yoga teacher and are eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance and become a registered yoga teacher.

  • What assessments will I need to do in order to graduate from the course?

There will be ongoing assessments throughout the course, set by the Kindred teaching team at the end of each module. For your final exam, you will teach a 75 minute class to a small group of the other students on the course. Your assessments, attendance, punctuality and participation in the training are all considered before you are invited to graduate.

  • What if I can't do advanced poses like arm balances and inversions - can I still join the course?

Yes of course, this is a foundation teacher training and you do not need to have mastered any particular poses. The aim of the course is for you to be able to go on and teach a yoga class safely and knowledgeably with the poses that you are able to do. We only ask that you have been practicing regularly for at least 2 years.

  • Will I get complimentary yoga at Kindred during the training?

You will receive a complimentary 10 class pack to use to practice at Kindred during the training period, and you unlimited access to online classes during the training period.

Your complimentary classes are non-transferrable and must only be used by the person attending the training. Your complimentary classes do not include anything else such as workshops, retreats, courses, towel rental and in-studio purchases.

  • What happens if I want to join but know I can’t make one of the dates?

We really encourage you to fully commit to all the training dates and Yoga Alliance’s standards mean you must do 100% of the training sessions.

However, if you let us know ahead of the time we can arrange for you to catch up with the teachers on those modules. Please note that you will need to cover the cost of any teacher time.
